Well, I haven't posted in awhile because to be quite honest I haven't really had anything to post about. Today I hit 28 weeks, I am officially now in the third trimester, the home stretch, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and definitely starting to wonder "what were we thinking?!?!" In about 12 weeks we will be parents.
Yesterday I took the glucose test- to see if I have gestational diabetes. Everyone is required to take this test at this point, and all it involves is fasting for an hour, drinking a horrible sugary orange drink, and then having your blood drawn. Let's hope I pass because I can't imagine the holidays without sweets! The only bad news is that I gained too much weight this month, although my doctor didn't blink an eye. She said I am doing just fine. I need to do better next time.
Baby Michel is bouncing and kicking around like crazy! She definitely has her own schedule that she likes to follow, but unfortunately it doesn't coordinate with mine very well. One of her most active times is 2:30 am! She likes to hang out on my right side, so that's where I feel most of her movement. It's weird to look down at your stomach and see it twitch, spasm and move on its own.
Tomorrow I am having lunch with three girlfriends. I don't get to see them that often, so I am definitely looking forward to it. We're meeting at the Cheesecake Factory- yummy! And if it wasn't for that weight gain this past month I'd be ordering their chicken Navajo sandwich (my mouth is watering just thinking about it). Now it looks like I'll be ordering a salad.
frozen peas!
ReplyDeleteif she's causing you more discomfort than you'd prefer put a package of frozen peas there - it will get chilly and she'll most likely move to a more acceptable position. :)
Shana LOL, I've heard this before! Especially if he/she is in a breech position before delivery :)
ReplyDeletejust say no to breech, baby Michel! :)
ReplyDeleteokay, jenny - WHERE have you put on too much weight?! i sure as heck ain't seein' it! ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm thankful that I'm tall- I think that's helping 'fool the eye'!
