Before/After- Project #6

This project comes to you all courtesy of "Nate's Gramma", she's a regular reader of my blog. Nate's Gramma was out shopping one afternoon and came across this placemat- it was $1.00. She bought it thinking "I bet Jen could do something with this!" She was right.

Now that I've been a mom for 5 months, I've come to realize that the diaper bag is a big bulky thing to carry around when usually (note that I said usually, yes, there are exceptions to this rule) all I really need is a diaper and some wipes. That got me thinking, there's got to be a smarter, easier way to have the necessary essentials without compromising what precious little space I have in the basket under the stoller.

Before: Placemat $1.00 (Don't mind the folds, I got ahead of myself and forgot to take a photo before I got started):
After: Diaper clutch/changing station for when you're on the go!
This was so easy- all I had to sew on was a piece of elastic and a button!
Thanks Nate's Gramma!

  16. Totally genius! I love this- it's simple, and totally usable! These would be great to keep stashed in the car for those emergencies (which, of course, happen way too often!)
