I'm embarrassed

For those of you who know me, you would be shocked, yes I dare say you would be laughing your arse's off if you saw how messy my house is right now.

With Avery crawling now, I just can't seem to get housework done because 1) we aren't going to baby-proof our house completely, which means there will be some things we have to train her to stay away from or out of and 2) she just likes my complete and undivided attention at all times.

I've got to get my domestic mojo back, this is pathetic.  Today I'm going to make a HUGE dent in the disaster surrounding me.

Do any of you have any words of wisdom for me?  How do you all get everything done?

  1. I wanna see your disaster -- take a picture! :) Seriously, I've caught Nate actually playing with a dust bunny. No words of wisedom from me -- my "to do" list has never been bare. Our motto should be "embrace the chaos"!!

  2. No words of wisdom here either~sorry. When you find out what works, let me know! ;o}

    My kiddos are older and I am still constantly picking up after them. I guess once it starts, it never stops~comforting isn't it. hehehe

  3. I have just accepted that my house will never be clean again. :) I'm sure your disaster is my house on a good day! If you figure out a good system, please share it!

  4. The only way I manage to keep up with cleaning is by taking a laundry basket and just throwing everything inside. When I get everything picked up, I go room to room dropping everything off where it belongs. Then my son proceeds to destroy everything so I start all over. lol.

  6. I linked over to your blog from Care's and am looking through the archives. I've got an 11-month-old, and would love the answer to this question! My girl climbs in the dishwasher and pulls out dishes if I'm trying to load/unload, and she's figured out how to open the cabinets. (We rent, so no screw-in baby locks.) She climbs the stairs but can't get herself down. Chasing her, or dealing with her clinging to my leg, takes my whole day and I never get anything cleaned. I've mostly accepted it, but sometimes it bothers me. I'm glad to know I'm not alone!
