5 Hours and Counting!

That is if I work up until 5:00 today- which I highly doubt I will :) Then I'm off on maternity leave! It feels weird knowing that I don't have to come to the office everyday for the next 3 months. I know I'll still be "working" full-time, but my duties will be different- feeding, changing, household chores, etc.

Today I am officially 39 weeks pregnant, only one week left until my due date. Part of me wants her to come a little early because I really would like to be done being pregnant. The other part of me wants her to come a little late- so that her stomach is a little bigger so she can eat more and hopefully will be able to go a little longer between feedings which equals more sleep for Franz and I!

One of my goals next week is to clean up the nursery so I can finally post some pictures. I've got lots of other little projects to work on next week to keep me preoccupied while I wait for her arrival as well. I'm looking forward to having a little time off and lots of naps whenever I want them :)

This is how I feel right about now

Okay, so I know we're having a girl and this is a boy...but I thought it was pretty funny and it really does feel like this is what she spends most of her time doing!

Need help!

Well, Baby Michel is due in 18 days and we still don't have a name for her. We've narrowed it down to two, but would love to hear your suggestions! Suggesting your own name isn't playing fair, and don't bother asking us what our two are, because we're not telling :)

So, what do you think?

It's official!

My last day of work will be January 30th! I can hardly wait- I'm just so exhausted these days. Hopefully that will give me about a week to rest up, take lots of naps and get any last minute things done before Baby Michel arrives (nope, we still don't have a name for her yet). Then I'll have 12 weeks maternity leave to decide what to do about going back to work.

Is it the 30th yet?

Oh my...

One of the weird things you might experience when you're pregnant is the growing of skin tags. Yes, they are totally gross and I don't know why we get them, we just do. Well, I've been watching one for a couple months now and it's gotten to the point where I just can't deal with it anymore. So I asked Franz to remove it for me- I'm pretty sure a tiny skin tag is nothing compared to some of the things he's seen!

I think we've learned two things from this experience:

1. Franz probably won't do anything that requires lidocaine, a needle, and a sterilized pair of scissors for me ever again.

and 2. If removing a couple of skin tags grossed me out enough to the point where I almost passed out, I don't know how I'm going to deliver a baby in 3 weeks.

Oh boy, deep breath...

A lot can change in just one year

It was exactly one year ago today that I started watching the Biggest Loser on NBC. I had decided that I needed to lose a few of the "happy pounds" I had put on since meeting Franz and getting married. We also knew that we wanted to start a family, and I wanted to be in the best shape I could be in when I got pregnant.

I got totally into the show. I bought the book 'Low Calorie Dieting for Dummies', I wrote down everything I ate in a food journal, and I started going to this intense kardio kick class 2-3 times a week at the gym. I was glued to the tv each week as I watched everyone lose all this weight. Steadily I saw my weight go down each week as well. I met my goal and I felt great!

Flash forward a year, and here I sit on the sofa, 8 months pregnant, 35 pounds heavier and eating a slice of banana bread as I watch! My how things have changed :)

Need a good laugh today?

Now you see them.....

Now you don't!!!

New picture posted

Franz and I are so lame. We have the entire day today free, and we can't think of anything to do. I'm pretty sure this will be one of the last weekends before the baby comes where we don't have any plans, and we are going to waste it because we're totally lame.

By the way, I've posted a 35 week picture at the right.

Hope you all are having fantastic, marvelous, exciting Saturdays :)
