Check this Out

If you want to see some truly beautiful handcrafted items, you've got to visit http://www.lovelyclusters.com. Rachel has a great eye and has created a website which features all these lovely items.

Oh yeah, and two of my bags were chosen for their product clusters! The Taylor bag and Josie bag- you can search for them under the Product Clusters in either the Handbag category or the Red or Fuschia color dots.

Before/After- Project #12

I feel like it's been awhile since my last before/after post. Avery has switched over from four thirty minute naps throughout the day (who can get anything done in 3o minutes?!) to one long nap in the morning and one long nap in the afternoon, I actually have time during the days to sew a little.

Before: Found this skirt and fell in love with the pattern. Dragonflies with a bold colorful graphic floral design and soft pale yellow background.
After: Used my tried and true bag pattern that works great for skirt refashions and came up with this:
It's in the shop. I also added a gorgeous burnt orange velvet hobo bag and I'll be adding another fun print later this week.

We're making progress

Avery and I joined two moms groups locally- MOPS (mothers of pre-schoolers, although kids of any age are welcome) and a Playgroup. Both groups are fantastic! MOPS allows me 2 hours of adult time every other week. They serve a brunch, have a guest speaker and do a craft- all while Avery is happily playing in the nursery. I look forward to the weeks there is a MOPS meeting :)

The Playgroup is great for finding out all the stuff going on around town for kids. We check out different parks, meet at each others homes, visit petting zoos, hang out at indoor playgrounds, you name it and we're there. Of course we don't go to every event, but we try and make it to as many as we can. Here's a picture of us yesterday at the new water fountain play park.
And the big milestone- Avery can now hold her own bottle!!! Yippee :) Now she can drink this while I'm preparing her other food. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was this morning when she grabbed her bottle and went right at it. Now if only we could get her to sleep through the night.

The First 6 Months

Today Avery is 7 months old. Here's a look back at the first 6 months. Most of these pictures I don't even remember taking- I think we were existing on adrenaline and just barely surviving the lack of sleep!

We love you Avery Margaret!
