I haven't had much time/motivation to sew lately- taking care of two kids is 100x more work, not just twice as much. Most evenings I am just too pooped to even think about sitting down and starting on a project. So when I saw this tutorial for sock bunnies, I actually got excited and thought it was something I could accomplish fairly quickly.
I bought my socks at Target for $2.50- they have tons of color options and styles to choose from. In order to make these more my own, I made a few easy changes, like leaving the ears unstuffed so they would be floppy. I simply tied a knot in each ear close to the head. I also wanted their faces to have more dimension so I sewed one eye and then pulling the thread tight and through the face, I moved onto the other eye to create a nose bridge.
They turned out cute! It's a pretty simple project for a beginner, so if you've never sewed before this would be a good project to get your feet wet.
Happy Easter!
