Update with random photos

Just a quick post to share a bunch of random stuff going on here at casa Michel, we've been busy!
The green chair arrived from New York and has been at the upholsterers for a few weeks now.  It's ready and I'm picking it up on Friday.
The rocking chair is in pieces.  I've stripped most of the old finish off the arms and legs and planning on staining it a little darker.  I'm waiting to remove the cording from the seat and back until I have a block of free time to quickly remove it, refinish the frame and then re-cord it before I forget how it's woven.  If you want your own danish modern rocking chair, you can get one here for $300!  I paid $20 for mine.
Our living room no longer looks like this anymore!  We have a new cabinet for below the tv, it holds some toys and the DVD.  All the other toys have been moved to the new playroom!  That's another post :)
Zoe's nursery has been getting the biggest transformation.  To make room for a playroom, both girls are now sleeping in this teeny tiny room.  Out with the green...
And in with the pink!  Here's a sneak peek for you:
And my poor mom.  She's still living at the Embassy Suites.  Going on month four I think, we've lost track.  Let me first say, the city of Glendale is a nightmare when it comes to their permit department.  They are notorious for holding things up, making sure you cross every "T" and dot every "I", and in the process making your life miserable while you wait for them to grant you permission to work on your house.  Pretty much nothing has been done since my last post- with the exception of the removal of the den and patio which happened last week.  Meanwhile, my moms insurance company received a bill for $17,500 from Embassy Suites for the first 99 days she was there.  We're really hoping that the city approves everything very soon and gives the contractor the green light, but we're not holding our breath.
I'll be back again once a few of these projects get finished to show some after pictures!  Hopefully before another month goes by!
